A shockwave of pain and emotion rolled across The Internet and the globe yesterday as news of Madeline Alice Spohr‘s passing became known.
It was followed by a wave of love, compassion, and kindness. That wave is still rolling.
The Great Big Internet showed how it’s a place where a lot of big hearts can converge.
We’re taking a day here at Photo Bliss to remember Maddie. We’ll go back to “regular programming” tomorrow.

If you’d like to help, her family asks that you donate to The March of Dimes in her name – this is a charity that helped them personally, as Maddie was a preemie.
You can also donate to help alleviate their personal expenses, via Paypal: formaddie@hotmomreviews.com
And you can participate in a March of Dimes Walk in your area, in Maddie’s honor. Teams are being created around the clock.
Check this list to find a team near you. If you can’t find your team, make one, and post the information.
It you have a Twitter account, you can send your kind words to @mamaspohr and when you talk about that beautiful angel, use the hashtag #maddie
Thank you.

Last night I babysat a little boy born almost exactly a year before Maddie, at 32 weeks. I remember the almost-two-months this boy was in the hospital, as I walked his parents’ dog while they were by his crib-side, and the following months when he had breathing tubes toted everywhere, along with the diaper bag. While playing with him yesterday, I thought of Maddie.
Thank you so much for posting that. Heather’s was one of the first blogs I came upon when I got on this crazy ride. I’ll never forget that sweet face. Sometimes I just don’t understand.

Thank you for posting about sweet Maddies.
