In my house it is birthday time, and birthday time means birthday parties, and birthday parties mean party favors. Every year I would stress over what to make or buy for favors. Last year I came up with an inexpensive and impressive way to use my photography to make a memorable and useful favor.
Everything you need can be found at home and at your local office supply store. You will need:
- a current photo of the birthday boy or girl
- photo editing program to add text (I love picnik.com!)
- printable business cards (I like the Avery brand)
- self-sticking business card magnets.
I edited the photo and then added the birthday girls name and age. Printed out the business cards and slapped them onto the self-sticking magnets and viola, you have a cute and useful party favor to pass out to guests.

I started doing this for my daughters birthday a few years ago. They have become collectors items!
It is also fun to stick them on your fridge during the party as a cute decoration and then people can grab one as they leave.
