What details do you love/hate about your home? While you might think you’ll never forget {or miss} all the sweet or annoying details in and around your home, time has a way of moving on and things are forgotten.
Document the details and create a scrapbook showcasing your home & yard — all the little details that you normally might not document.

Here are some ideas to help you get started:
- Take a picture of your home from the same spot on the same day every month to show a year in the life of your home or yard.
- document the character – doors, windows, arches, etc.
- document the annoying little irritations of your home.
- record the progress or setbacks of your garden
- snap a shot of your pantry
The details affect how you relate to your home. While many of the details are usually positive, there will always be some nostalgia associated with that horrendous green vinyl flooring or that bathroom sink that sat so close to the toilet you could multi-task. {smile}
Document your home now, good or bad — in a few years you’ll look back with fondness (and maybe even chuckle) when you look back on what used to be.

I always love your wonderful ideas! Thanks!
great idea, love it! thanks!
What a great idea. I’ve never thought of it that way. Thanks
Great idea! When we built our house , there were certain things we did that I thought, ” Why did I do that again or why didn’t I remember to do that?” If I would have kept a journal of things that I liked or didn’t like , maybe I would have done things differently. I guess there will always be things I want to change or wish I’d done different. Oh well! Good idea to remind us since I’m getting older and seem to forget way to easy!
cute idea!

Sorry… forgot to say great post – can’t wait to read your next one!
Hi sis — Now that’s an good idea to be reminded — I know I have done this manytimes in the past because I’ve moved many times and would take a few photos through out our house that I did not what to forget. Like the kitchen cabinets or same other area of the house like the garden area or even windows and doors — I think I’ve moved 20 times in my 29 years of marriage! Thanks for the reminder which is another great idea you have shared.. Thanks –
