After using strictly Photoshop for the past year, I recently was able to use a copy of Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, and upon very minimum evaluation, I like it.
For beginning photographers and photo editors, it gives you an easy interface with quick and easy actions built in. The more current versions of the program are giving advanced users higher level tools.
Paint Shop Pro is a quick, easy, and has many actions (such as skin smoothing) built right in. I may use it for adjustments for certain jobs to take time offmy work flow.
One of the interesting actions in Paint Shop Pro is the Time Machine effect.
This action allows you to quickly “age” your photo by choosing a style of photo processing used at different times in history.
Step 1: Open Paint Shop Pro X2
Step 2: Select Effects; Photo Effects; Time Machine
Step 3: When the window opens, pick the “age” of your photo.
Finished! A quick and easy way to “age” your photos!

I use Corel PSP Photo X2 and I LOVE the Time Machine tool. I use it all the time.
I’ve never used Photoshop (can’t afford it!) and I’ve got to say that after several versions of Paint Shop Pro, it still serves me well!
It is a great program. Quick, easy, and intuitive. Thanks!
