This is a good example of photographing items behind glass.
- Turn off your flash,
- Use a lens hood to block out light coming in from the sides,
- Place your camera/lens right up to the glass,
- Bump up the ISO and/or use a tripod to avoid camera shake in low light,
- Use a polarizing filter, and
- Try to shoot at an angle that gives the least amount of glare.

You know, on Monday, during the Great Rare Southern Snow of The Decade, husband and I went driving around a little bit (men and their SUVs), and of course I took the camera. I’d already run out of things to take pictures of in the white yard. And the best picture I got was one of a natural swampy/pond area with trees in the background, which I took through the window of the moving vehicle, while not even looking through the viewfinder. Go figure. Now I see that I was actually doing a lot of your tips without even knowing it.
