My husband and I live near Stone Mountain in Georgia and spend a lot of time hiking there.
Last spring, I decided I was going to take a photo in a particular spot around one of the lakes, in order to see how the scene changed over the seasons.
The photo above was my spring photo. Then I had to figure out how to remember where to stand to take the “same” photo over the next few months.
If you’re photographing your child in a particular chair or with a particular stuffed animal each month, it’s not quite as hard to remember. Figuring out where to stand in the wide-open spaces of nature proved to be more problematic.
Eventually, however, I learned that standing just to the right of a particular root would get me pretty much the same shot every time.
These are all four shots.

What a neat idea and great photos! TFS =)
I love this series! It’s beautiful to see the changing seasons through the lens.
What a fun idea. Were these photos taken at the same time of day during each season?
This is perfect example of what I need to gather for my art work for GCSE exam,
Awesome.
