I love this Pottery Barn coffee table and it’s accessories.   Oh, I dream, but not to worry I found a coffee “trunk” just like this at Home Goods for one tenth of the cost.

Now here is where my dilemma began. What do I put on my coffee “Trunk”?  I could use:

• candles
• coasters
• vase of flowers
• reading material
• clock
• tray

I began by “shopping” my home. This is what I came up with.

See I told you the “trunk” looks just like the Pottery Barn one. {Their’s over a thousands dollars…mine under $100}

I wanted to add a little “outdoors” to the coffee table. I began by gathering up these items-

• garden pot
• olive branches
• moss
• tape
• rice

Fill the pot half full with rice, top with moss….then stick in your greenery. Yes, as easy as that.

I was able to get that “timeworn” look that I wanted at a fraction of the cost….which always makes for a Happy Day.
