We all have collected treasures, family heirlooms, cherished accessories, books that inspire, pieces of art, and antiques, be they grand or not so grand {we love them still the same}.
This Bottle capper brings back memories of my Dad making root-beer and all the excitement as we would wait for the first pop, lettings us know they were ready to drink. {It would take a few days.}
Our homes are where we display such things, and yet we save the stories in our hearts. How many times have you received a beautiful gift from a love one, maybe your Grandmother’s vase, or an Aunt’s favorite piece of art, and wished you knew the story behind it? I know I have.
That’s when I decided to document my treasured items –

The idea was to take pictures of things I considered “Heirloom” like jewelry, pieces of art, books etc. Then add the picture to the binder along with a short History of the item {where it came from, how old, etc.}.
Someday when these ideas are passed down to my children, they will have a story to go with it.

It was really easy to do and It feels great to have the stories documented.
