Collections, Blue and White

Collecting is a fun hobby. One thing I’m hooked on is finding pieces of blue and white transferware.
The china cabinet is full of pieces collected from yard sales, flea markets and thrift shops. While I don’t profess to be an expert on antiques and don’t own any pieces of rare flow blue, like this platter, I keep right on collecting!

Collecting doesn’t have to be expensive. Who can afford that these days? Little nicks and scratches don’t matter to me, I’m not a purist looking for any particular pattern. Find something you like, then just get out there and hunt for more! Don’t forget to have fun!

I love blue and white china too. Lots of house moves and 2 small children mean that it has been packed away for quite a while. Seeing yours reminds me that I need to get it out on display too. Like you, I don’t mind nicks and scratches – all part of the aged character!
