My home is small…really, really small. However, trying to downsize and find functional storage can be a big hassle.
While attempting to de-clutter and clean out my bedroom for a larger appearance, I stumbled upon this idea which is one of my favorite pieces in my home.
I took an old chest of drawers I no longer had room for in my bedroom and made it a movie, music and book organizer.

What you will need to Remake a Dresser
• Old Dresser (Chest of Drawers)
• Sand Paper
• Two small cans of paint
• Paint Sponge
• Old Rag
• Paint Brush
How to Remake a Dresser:
*Take sandpaper and sand all old stain or paint from dresser
* Choose which color you would like as the base
* Apply paint with a brush in small sections
* While wet, dab it with sponge and gently wipe with rag
*Repeat until covered
*Once dry, begin applying your second choice of paint
* Repeat steps 3-5 until finished
* Add new drawer pulls if you would like and decorate with your favorite knick knacks
* Organize your “junk”, movies, music, books and more

Adorable!
Love, love, love this idea! Any time I can use what we have in a new and different way I am a happy camper. I have a sofa table originally purchased from Salvation Army that has been painted three different colors and used in several different rooms of our home. Always fun.
Great post!
