Do you have an old piece of furniture that needs a fresh new look, an update, to bring it up to speed in 2008?  Think about painting something black. It’s a great way to add a grounding dimension to your room and make an old piece like new again.  There are many places to shop for second hand furniture, so start developing an eye for the details on a piece and before you dismiss it, think about painting it black.  You might be surprised at what a single piece of black painted furniture will do for your room.

I hope you’ll think about painting something that you just might not have given a second thought to. It’s a very fun way to get a new look for just the small cost of paint! I use spray paint a lot for smaller items and a can of black satin for furniture.  Give it a try!
