Here is the original post with all the details!
Last week, I ran an article on how to up your holiday curb appeal – in other words, how to put together an aesthetically pleasing display that garners attention and welcomes your guests in a most festive way. And since Blissfully Domestic readers are the most beautiful, talented, and creative people I can think of, I want to show off your hard work with a contest… and, yes, there are PRIZES!
At stake are a covered saute pan and an 11 inch skillet, from Scanpan, a Danish line of cookware, founded in 1956 and available at Sur La Table.

What makes Scanpan cookware so great?
The line is dishwasher-safe, intended for everyday use, ovenproof to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and is suitable for all stove tops, excluding induction. It has a 100% PFOA-free non-stick surface: All Scanpan non-stick products are 100% PFOA-free, using a modified production technology that eliminates the need for PFOA entirely during the nonstick application.
The non-stick coating can’t be damaged by metal. The surface of the products in the Scanpan Professional line are made from ceramic titanium, which is super heated to more than 36,000 degrees Fahrenheit, when it liquefies and literally anchors itself to the aluminum base. The non-stick surface is then applied on top of the ceramic titanium, which allows the non-stick layer to remain intact, even when scratched by metal. Extensive lab tests have proven the products’ durability.
It keeps its shape. The Scanpan Professional line of products is manufactured out of squeeze cast aluminum. The heavy duty base is forged into shape under 250 tons of pressure and made to an optimum thickness. This prevents the cookware from warping or buckling.
It eliminates hot spots. This line produces fantastic and consistent results in the kitchen for professionals and amateurs alike. The squeeze cast aluminum base distributes heat quickly and evenly and retains heat longer, contributing to reduced energy consumption. This also causes fewer of the inconsistent “hot spots” that can cause uneven cooking.
It’s functional. The Professional line has been designed so that lids are interchangeable between various cookware and accessories; it’s also dishwasher safe.
So, how do you get your hands on one of these little beauties?
