Warm weather means the whole family taking the opportunity to spend more time outdoors. How much thought have you given to accessories for your outdoor living space? Two desirable options to consider for your backyard furniture & accessories would be to an outdoor fireplace and portable shade -oh so welcome on hot, lazy afternoons.
Fire-pits can be purchased or home made- just make sure to check your area for any restrictions.
Sunbrella Umbrellas make a wonderful choice for portable shade. With so many different styles and colors it’s easy to find one perfect for your yard.

Hang a hammock between two trees to create a shady spot for reading or a nap.

An easy inexpensive way to add character and a little light- mason jars hung from a tall iron hook, oh so chic as a backyard accessory.

Adding a backyard cooking area is perfect for bringing friends and family together. It could be a full kitchen or as simple as a BBQ pit, both make backyard accessories.
Nothing say comfort better than having a lounge area, like these simple lounge chairs lined up in a row.

If your backyard is more of a garden, you might consider something vintage or an item made from iron.

Want to add some farm chick chic to your backyard? Take a look at this chicken coop from Heather Bullard. Now that would be an awesome accessory to add to any backyard, plus the added benefit of beautiful fresh eggs. Just check with your neighbors before adding a rooster to the flock. Not everyone appreciates the early wake-up call.

I believe there is no right or wrong way to accessorize your backyard, just use your creativity and think about the needs of those who visit it. Oh, and don’t forget to have fun and let your personality shine through.
