Christmas lights are so pretty. I can’t stand when Christmas is over and I have to take them down. I know, I know, it is June and H-O-T outside. I bet you are wondering why I am even talking about Christmas lights.
Well, I got this idea from a lady I met, tried it and LOVE it! I wanted to share it with you all. This makes a great night light or creates a beautiful ambience for a romantic evening. All it requires is a jar of some sort or a wine bottle and Christmas lights.
• Jar or Wine Bottle
• Lights (make sure if you are using a wine bottle or small jar to get the lowest count of lights available. Or you can splice the wire to fit the jar and throw out the leftover lights)
• Take the lights and arrange them in the jar
• Go to a glass cutter or if you have a tool at home, cut a small hole in the back of the jar for the plug to go through. If those aren’t an option, simply let the chord hang out the top of the jar enough to plug into the wall.
•**Take a ribbon or some sort of decoration to fit over the mouth of the jar to cover the chord
• Plug into any area of your home
• Enjoy!
Make sure to get creative! Place them throughout your home or line a countertop with jars of different sizes and colors.
**I used a lidded jar, let the chord hang out of the top some with the lid placed back on top and plugged it into the wall. I could have easily left the lid off and decorated the mouth of the jar with a large ribbon.
(Be careful to make sure it doesn’t get too hot and is not left on a long time unsupervised)
