If you don’t already have a dish obsession, you might want to think about starting a creamware collection.
White dishes have such versatility and there are so many out there just waiting to be picked up.
I’ve got a nice collection going and most of them have been found at yardsales or thriftstores, making them an affordable obsession at that. My every day dishes are also white, so imagine the possibilities of mixing all of these new and vintage dishes together for a really fun look.
It doesn’t even matter if some are white and some are cream, they all work together. It’s fun to have bowls and vases at your fingertips in case you want to bring home some bouquets or even better, go out in the yard and cut a few fresh flowers.
Check out my blog for more pics if you’d like to see the whole collection. It’s so much fun to get out there and find more, you just never know where the next one might turn up.

*drool* I love white creamware.
I so love white dishes (well, any dishes, for that matter!)! I’ve decided to hang dishes on the wall behind my bed, and so I’ve been searching for just the right ones. This past Saturday I found 2 beautiful ironstone bread and butter dishes at Goodwill for a quarter a piece!
I love your creamware display in your red room! I have serious dish envy!
Is this the same as antique “milk glass”? My great aunt had lots of that. Anyway, I was just wondering and love all of your collection. How fun.
I definitely have a dish obsession, but mine tends to run to old china and obscure patterns. For the most part, I stay away from white dishes, but your arrangement is beautiful! And yes…it’s so affordable I actually feel compelled to further my obsession/add to my collection.
I recently saw on a blog where someone had a display like yours-except they had found various plates at yard sales etc and SPRAY PAINTED them white with a high gloss spray paint. . .
I do this in the summer. I either fill the china cabinet or other space with white dishes. I add other white items like shells or folded white linens. It is so fresh looking.
They look beautiful!
The dishes look great together. They remind me of what my grandmother used to use.
I have a very modest collection of antique milk glass…in my bathroom, of all places. I just love the stuff! Your display is gorgeous!
Very pretty! I might have to start looking for white dishes.
What a great idea – I might just have to do this!!
