I don’t know about you, but I have really been inspired this year with white pumpkins! I have never been all that excited about the orange ones in my decor, but after seeing a white stenciled version at Better Homes and Gardens online (above), I decided to do my own and make a grand statement in my foyer.
First, I bought 3 fake orange pumpkins from Hobby Lobby, then painted them white. I went back and painted the stems with black craft paint and added a stencil that I already had on hand.
I love using natural elements in my decorating, so pulled out some pinecones and acorns I had stashed from last Christmas (I’ll be using them again this year) and added all of this to my foyer table for a fresh and natural Fall! It welcomes my guests and this look will take me all the way to Thanksgiving.
The best thing was….I already had all the elements at home. I’m a big yardsale person and find all sorts of fun things out there to decorate with, so it was really fun to put all of this together.
I hope you’ll be inspired to get out and thrift shop too. You just never know what you might bring home that will work for a Fall vignette and if you’re like me and are loving the white pumpkins this year, give it a whirl!

I can’t view the pictures. Have you set them for public view or private for friends only? I’m very curious about white pumpkins!
Lyvvie, Oh, I hope you can see them eventually. I can see them just fine so I’m not sure why they are not showing up for you. The pics are small & you can click them to enlarge them.
Thanks! Rhoda

Very nice! I’m seeing these white pumpkins everywhere. I’m having a pumpkin week on my blog and somebody linked up her post about painting pumpkins white.
You don’t like orange pumpkins? The black and white is pretty spooky!
