How to Add Garden Decor on Walls
Why settle for just decorating the interior of your home when the garden fence walls are just begging to be decorated? This year, bring some of your interior decorating skills outdoors and decorate the garden walls. If your garden is situated close to the side of your brick home or near a wooden shed or fence, you have the perfect backdrop for garden wall decorations.
Benefits of Metal Wall Decorations
One of the easiest ways to decorate the walls of your garden is to use metal wall decorations. Metal inherently looks great outdoors and lends itself to all variety of shapes and sizes. Whether you would like a metal fish wall art piece or a bronze metal sun sculpture, many online home decor retailers offer metal wall art that is good for both indoor and outdoor use. Be creative and choose a look that will bring a smile to your face when you are working or relaxing in the garden.
Alternatives to Pre-Made Wall Decor
If metal wall decorations are not your style, try painting a small mural on the wall. From flowers to a bistro table to a potting bench, there is no end to the possibilities for outdoor wall murals. Be sure to use high-quality paint that is good for outdoor use, so that your hard work will not fade or wash away by the end of the growing season.
Decorating the walls around the garden offers you a chance to be creative in ways that may not work with your interior decor. Bold, cheerful colors or slick metal wall decorations are both great options for outdoor walls. Have fun choosing the decorations and may your garden grow abundantly.

Another good way of decorating walls is with vines or climbing plants. They grow easily and provide shade and shelter from the sun, adding a colorful touch to the house. Just make sure they climb by mean of adhesive disks, not tendrils, so as not to damage the wall surface. Also make sure they are not classified as noxious, as some species are considered invasive. For pergolas, fences and trellises an English Ivy will do fine in a temperate climate, while a Bougainvillea is suitable for a tropical or Mediterranean climate.
