Don’t blow the budget, make your own potting bench from an old ladder. It’s all about creating a garden with charm! Look through your shed, hey, even your neighbors shed, someone has to have an old ladder! {smile} Wrap your arms around it and head-out in the fresh air. {smile again}
- Paint- Olympic Premium- From Lowes- Lettuce Alone
- Hooks for Hat- etc.
- “S” hooks for garden tool- hung on the metal support.
- White iron bowls from thrift store for cutting tools.
Add pots and flowers to dress it up, and there you have it — your very own potting bench!
Grab a friend and work on one together — just think of the delightful conversation you will have! You may even come up with other wonderful ideas for an old ladder!
Happy Day!

You accomplish more in one day than I do in a week! I love the ladder and its color. Really love the bowls, too. Looks beautiful and inviting “up there!” Thanks.
What a great idea! your blog is lovely.
One year, when we had a particularly “eat everything in sight” old english sheepdog puppy… we painted our wooden ladder RED and used it to layer all the presents no longer able to put under the Christmas tree. It actually became our tree that year.
Thanks for reminding me of a fun memory!
