The facts are a bit scary, babies are now born with over 200 chemicals in their bodies. How did they get there? How do you keep more from getting in their new bodies?
Sources of Environmental Toxins in Our Homes
They get there from cleaners, food, toys, clothes, and so much more. It can seem overwhelming, so much info to learn, so many things to change. If you just take it one step at a time you can make it less overwhelming and more of a journey to helping your health and the health of your family.
Simple Steps to Decrease Exposure to Toxins
Try and pick just one thing a month to change. Here are just a few ideas of things you can do.
- Read the ‘Dirty Dozen‘ produce list and try and buy those items organically.
- Switch your traditional cleaners to natural cleaners or homemade cleaners.
- Avoid fast food.
- Switch your families personal care products to more natural options.
- Say no to BPA. Buy fresh, frozen or food in glass jars, not cans. And avoid plastic as much as you can or at least look for plastic that says BPA free.
These are just a few things you can do to reduce the chemicals in your life. Healthy Child Healthy World has more tips to help on your way.
