Statistics like this one show that together we can make a huge difference. Just by making little changes; like buying 1 roll of recycled, unbleached paper towels, we can make a BIG impact on our environment.

How can buying jumbo help the environment?

Jumbo rolls reduce waste by:

• Utilizing less packaging per sheet
• Using fewer cores than regular rolls
• Enabling more product to be shipped on each truck = reduction in fuel consumption.The brown coloring is the natural color of recycled products. White paper towels are somehow treated (usually bleached or dyed) to be white.

How can buying brown paper towels rather than white ones make a difference?

• Also, untreated paper towels can be added to compost piles.

By purchasing goods made from recycled paper we are showing companies that there is a market for recycled materials. When we speak with our wallets companies tend to listen.

Companies such as Seventh Generation have listened. Their paper towels are made from 100% recycled materials (90% post consumer and 10% pre-consumer).

My family is not big paper towel users so it was not difficult for us to switch from regular paper towels to recycled ones. Since we have switched to using reusable napkins, not using paper towels for cleaning, & using towels to clean up spills, this1 jumbo roll of 2 ply brown, unbleached 100% recycled paper towels will last my family for months.
