Check back every Monday for more ways to incorporate living green into your everyday life!
1. When you need to replace your pillows if they are in good shape you can donate them but if not here are some other ways to reuse your pillows.
2. When your tooth brush is no longer doing it’s job use it for cleaning.
3. Moving soon? Don’t waste money or resources to get boxes. Ask friends and family to save them for you. You can also go to businesses to get more.
4. Give yourself a facial. The Alaska Glacial Mud Co. makes a great mud mask that is totally sustainable.
5. Adopt a pet. The number of abanded pets is skyrocketing. If more people would adopt in place of buying pets the demand for breeding would go down and
there would be less unwanted pets.
6. Ditch the blow dryer. Next time you get your haircut pick a style that can be styled with out a blow dryer.
7. Defrost in the frig. It will help your frig stay cold while using less energy and thawing your food safely.
8. When shopping for clothes look for items made in the US. Better yet buy items that are made of organic cotton.
9. Screen savers don’t save any energy. Either turn off your computer or use sleep mode.
10. Plant a garden this spring. Even if you only have a small space, plant what you can. You can even do a container garden on a small porch.

Cool info. Thanks!
Thanks for the tips! I have always gathered boxes for moving from the place that I work. Over a month’s time I can usually gather more than enough for our move. i have also seen adds for boxes on freecycle. There are times that we have been lucky enough to pass our boxes on to other people that happen to be moving too.
