Do you have guests coming for Christmas? Or maybe an office party at your home? You may be worried that your home is just not ready, or you have tons of little project to do before they come.
Over the years I’ve found a few simple things to do that make a big impact for very little money-
If you looking to re-fresh for the holidays with very little effort…here’s my number one pick of things to do-
Change your light fixture.
This is my kitchen before I changed out the light fixture-
Here is the after- {also see the first picture}
I think it completely changes the feel of the room, all for under $100 and less than an hour of work to install it.
Adding a pop of color is also easy and makes a big statement-
Other quick changes:
- Add fresh flowers
- Change out your sofa pillows
- re-arrange your furniture
- Bake bread {I love the frozen loafs, so easy} have a fire in your fireplace, burn a new candle
Do you have a quick change idea that you would like to share?

I really like the pillow idea. We got new snowflake throw pillows for our sectional this year and I love how they make the whole room seem more cozy and Christmasy.
I also like to take some branches trimmed from our Christmas tree and place them around the house: on the piano, behind the sink fixtures in the bathrooms, across a windowsill, etc.
Love the new light fixture. I would love to get one just like it! Adore that color blue too!
