How to Heat Floors in the Winter
The last thing you may want to do first thing in the morning is put your warm feet down on an icy cold floor. If you have tile floors, without insulation, you probably own several pairs of thick socks and slippers for winter days.

There are a few things you can do to help keep your floors warmer and your toes more toasty until summer.
Keep the heat in. Check your doors and windows for drafts and seal them up. You may not be able to see a gap under the door – but place your hand around the top bottom and sides of your entrance doors and feel around for any drafts. Josh Garskof, wrote an article in This Old House about weatherproofing drafty doors. He said, “Even a tiny 1/8-inch gap around a typical entryway door is the equivalent of drilling a 5 ½ inch diameter hole through an outside wall.” Considering that, it’s definitely worth your time to check and seal your doors.
