Learning How To Type

homeschool bliss Learning How To Type

Computers have become such a way of life that it is now vital for kids to learn typing skills earlier than ever before. Gone are the days of learning keyboarding in high school. Correct keyboarding is now best learned when kids are in early elementary school.

One way my kids really love to practice typing is through a variety of computer typing games. And, while these have their place, it is also important to work on typing through copying or dictation. My favorite source for these passages is the Bible. What a wonderful gift to give to your kids — the ability to type and a love of beautiful, inspired words!

What are your favorite ways to work on correct typing with your kids?

When Angie isn't busy homeschooling her three students (including two with special needs), she is trying to find time to blog at Many Little Blessings (and thanking Mom that she was forced into taking keyboarding in high school).
