You’ve wrapped the presents, baked the holiday cookies and survived the onslaught of in-laws, cousins, and family members who insist on calling you shnookums, even though you’re in your thirties. Hurray, you made it! Despite your shameless indulgence of every cookie, cake or bread the holidays had to offer. So, what now? Now, you get to be sweeter to the one who deserves it most: YOU!
If anyone deserves a little sweetness in her life, it’s you! So, today’s all about new ways you can put a little sweetness in your life, without breaking the bank.
-
I don’t know about you, but nothing picks me up like a trip to the spa. Whether it’s a facial, a pedicure or 30 min massage, I know I’m in for one heck of a great time. My fave is Scott Miller Salon and Spa (Find yours here). Spa not in the budget? Not to worry. Here are easy, step by step ways you can bring the spa to you.
- I know you love to get surprises; well, why not be your own secret Santa? Leave yourself little love notes and cards with words of inspiration and encouragement. Tuck them everywhere: purses, coats, car, pantry, etc. It takes minutes, but the effects are extraordinary. Remember, no one says I love you like YOU!
- Get out your wine, tea, or coffee; light a scented candle; and dust off your journal—you’re about to enter the sweetness zone. Write down everything you enjoy about you. SPARE NO DETAILS! The idea is to get you to recognize just how truly awesome you really are. When you’re having a bad day, just read that list back to yourself. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it takes a turn for the better. Take it one step further and make a list of what you’re grateful for.
Congratulations! You’re well on your way to discovering a newer, sweeter, you for 2009!! Got some great ideas of your own? Spare me no details! I’d love to hear all about it!
