On your mark, get set, go: make the breakfast, feed the family, change the diapers, let the dog out, start the laundry, iron the clothes, wash the dishes, let the dog in, INHALE, dress the kids, call a truce, make the lunch, EXHALE…
Whether you’re a stay-at-home-Mom, professional or something in between, you’re on the go; from the time your feet touch the ground until the time your head hits the pillow.
You’ve got everything in the world to do and not enough body parts to help you do it.You push harder, run faster and in the end, it gets done–mostly. Congratulations. Or is it?
Pushing harder and running faster is great for short term but over time it takes its toll. What can you do? BE STILL.
- Start with five or ten minutes
- Find a space in your home where you feel the most relaxed
- Light a candle, play some soft music or get a cup of tea/coffee
- Sit and reflect about how truly awesome you are and how much you make a difference in the lives of those you love and know
- Smile to yourself
- Speak encouraging words into your heart and your mind
Now, you’re on your way to a recharged and refreshed you, inside out and out!
