I have recently discovered that when it comes to beauty products, oil does not mean oily. For me, once I got over the whole idea of applying oil to my hair and body, I find it much more pleasant, and effective, than lotion.
One of the latest and greatest oils showing up in products from cleansers to hair products to salad dressing is Argane. Argane oil is found only in the nuts from the Argan tree in Morocco. Sounds exotic, doesn’t it?
It’s also a beauty product you can feel good about, as it is processed by women in Morocco who make their living for their families by working in Argan oil cooperatives, according to a fascinating article from the New York Times, in which the oil is referred to as “liquid gold.”
“The oil, which is said to have restorative and age-defying effects, has become one of the latest miracle ingredients in the beauty industry. High in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it is believed to help all sorts of skin conditions: dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles. Moroccans slather it on their skin, hair, nails and even their babies.”
Xandra Renouvelle, an Ohio company owned by Moms is the exclusive US distributor and retailer of Kaeline Argatherapie, one of the most ‘talked about’ new brands in organic skincare. Kaeline recently made the prestigious Pierce-Mattie Haute List for skin care.
Xandra Renouvelle sent me a bottle of Kaeline 100% Argane Oil to try, and it has become an elixir to me. The L’huile de Beauté is a spa-quality dryish oil that I’ve been using on my feet and cuticles, and in my hair. It’s pretty remarkable in that you literally can apply it anywhere you need moisture, and I love the heavy glass pump bottle.
I also read tale after tale in the course of my research about this product’s amazing ability to cure adult acne, a real problem for me. I have worked hard to keep my skin healthy and clear, so naturally I didn’t want to upset the apple cart. I started applying a tiny bit of the oil after washing my face and so far my skin is very well-balanced and happy. It is so curious to me that applying oil to your face makes your face produce less oil, but it really works. No shine at all. And I really do feel pretty exotic.
The entire line of Kaeline argane oil products are available at Xandra Renouvelle online.
