I don’t know about you, but to be able to recreate a look from the runway, I need a map, which is why I love getting the face chart’s from the show. You can’t go wrong when the makeup artist lays it out for you, especially when that makeup artist is the amazingly talented Bobbi Brown.
Bobbi Brown’s Spring 2009 makeup look for the Erin Fetherston show at New York Fashion Week took the smoky eye from fall and gave it a lighter and more feminine look. She incorporated silvers, golds and variations of purple (plum and lavender). Eyeliner followed the same in violet and cheeks were highlighted pink with gold leaving lips a more natural color. The combination of glitter, shimmer and glossy textures around the eyes give them a subtle glow that is perfect for Spring.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Bobbi Brown while at an Estee Lauder party during fashion week. She’s not only talented, but extremely down to earth.
What do you think about this look for Spring?

Looks nice. But to be honest I’m still trying to get a hold of the Fall 2008 trends. I’m not even thinking about Spring 2009.
Oh crap, T with Honey brought up a good point!
Although – if I start practicing this now, I’ll be ahead of the curve…
But just think that now when you talk to your friends, you will seem like a trend forecaster telling them what will be in for Spring.
Seriously though, all beauty bloggers report the trends 6 months in advance–so fall makeup is already out there, well before you can find it in the magazines. Just click on my Makeup Minute link and I have fall makeup all over the place! Hmm..maybe I will have to do a roundup of that.
