There are few things more beautiful than a diamond.  Even though I’ve been married for over nine years, I still love to stare at my engagement ring, especially in the sun or bright lights!  Diamonds are just incredibly beautiful stones.  But in the past few years, I’ve been hearing a lot about conflicts and wars over diamond mines resulting in great loss of life.  The greed over the income from these beautiful stones has certainly resulted in tragedy.

So, when I heard about Brilliant Earth, a company that sells beautiful conflict-free diamonds and diamond jewelery, I really wanted to spread the word about them.   Their website says that “Brilliant Earth believes that high quality, fine jewelry need not come at a great human or environmental cost.” They use materials that are eco-friendly, harvested from pure sources using socially responsible practices.  AND  – they donate 5% of their profits to communities who have suffered from unethical practice in the jewelery industry.
