Fall is my absolute favorite season. The weather is picture perfect, holiday anticipation is just starting, and fashions are relaxed and cozy. This season’s footwear is no exception. Flats, masculine styles, and soft leather get dolled-up for fall!
Here are some of my favorite styles that I’ve seen popping up online and in fashion magazines.
Oxfords
Men’s oxfords for women have been a huge trend all summer and the fall brings new twists to this staunch classic – metallics, height, and feminine details!
Xhilleration Taree Oxfords $19.99
Steve by Steve Madden Metallic Oxford $99
Nine West Roothy Oxford $78.95
Sam Elderman Cutout Oxfords $130
Booties
Ankle booties are another trend that have been around for a few seasons and I love the height and look of a boot without the constraint. This season, it’s all about the wedge bootie and bringing in some of the Oxford feel.
Chinese Laundry Wedge Bootie $89
Marc by Marc Jacobs Bootie $350
Shorties
Shortie boots are the epitome of fall fashion to me. They are rough and tumble while still being fashionable. The suede and leather are soft and worn and I am especially loving the grommets and embellishments.
Grommet MacAlister Boots J.Crew $150
Are there any fall footwear fashions that you’re planning to add to your wardrobe this season?

I have a thing against those booties. I can’t see wearing them with regular jeans or pants, so all I see is tight pants or dare I say leggings with them? Oh the nightmare!
The oxfords are beyond awesome! I hope to own a few pairs!
I was just today trying to think of some shoes like this that I could maybe wear if I were to – ack! I can’t say it! – get a j.o.b. I hurt my foot last year so I know regular ‘girl shoes’ would be totally out of the question. I really like the black oxfords – they remind me of the adorable saddle shoes I had in ninth grade. And I love those Grommet MacAlisters! So cute!!
Booties take some getting used to, but I like the look of boots without having to struggle with finding a pair that fit my calves.
Lisa – I love the Oxfords for work! So comfortable and can be worn with pants or skirts. I’m hoping to snag a few pairs myself.
