Ok, ladies, I need to confront you about something serious. Because I have been seeing you in the grocery store and the mall playplace and even for goodness’ sake at CHURCH, and some of you are wearing very. ugly. shoes. And from this moment on, you cannot claim ignorance, because I am telling you that one of the Sacred Commandments of Frump-Fighting is Thou Shalt Not Wear Ugly Shoes. And in case you were going to try this one next, another Commandment is Thous Shalt Not Wear Thy Slippers Out of the House.
I KNOW your vintage 1994 Birkenstocks are comfortable, girlfriends, but they are UGLY. And they are not doing much for your appearance!

I have really flat feet, and most “regular” shoes hurt my feet. But I have found some VERY fashionable, affordable options that are also very cute! Mainly, Crocs and TOMS. I always get comments when I wear these babies out:
My cashier at Kroger LOVED them the other day. And frankly, they added a lot to my jeans-and-sweatshirt. They let all the people at Kroger know I was a Frump Fighter!
I also get a lot of compliments on these Crocs:

They are the epitome of comfort and style! A plain black tee, a pair of dark jeans and these shoes make a very chic outfit to run around in all day!
So ladies, now you know. Throw out your ugly old sandals, your orthopedic-looking Grandma shoes, your Sketchers from 1997, and your comfortable old sneakers.
Get yourself something CUTE that won’t hurt your feet, and rock ‘em in the kindergarten pick-up line, at the drug store, and on playdates. You’re worth it!
Now it’s your turn! Tell us how YOU fight the frump! Link up your fashion and beauty posts from this week, and link back to this post. Mr. Linky (and the world) is waiting – link up!

Telling women not to wear ugly shoes, and then ENCOURAGING Crocs? Please. Crocs are the ugliest shoes out there.
But your TOMS do look nice. And they go to a good cause.
I don’t wear any ugly Crocs. I have the leopard-print ones above and several other cute styles. I think they are fabulous! I don’t wear the “original” ones and I don’t think they are cute, but I love my Malindi, Olivia, and Lily.
I think some of the womens crocs are cute. I do think A LOT of the girl’s shoes are cute. Definitely thinking I will try out their flips flops next year, I’m always looking for a comfy, yet fashionable, flip flop.
I love my crocs!!! I have so many of their wedges, heels, flip flops and awesomely cute sandals. I wear crocs almost every day… except when I’m home, or working out… but if they had workout shoes.. i’d be in them !!!
Jenny, I’m sorry, but there’s no such thing as a cute Croc. Comfortable, yes. Cute? Not so much. The leopard print ones are better than the originals, but they’re still Crocs. At the risk of starting the Great Croc War of 2009, I can’t take your advice on ugly shoes seriously when I know you’re out there walking around in Crocs! But you know I love you.
But we can definitely agree on Birkenstocks. FUGLY.
I’m completely flat footed too so I wear cute low boots or sandals with a slight wedge. Fairly comfy. If I have to wear comfy shoes, I choose the coolest sneakers I have (like Nike shox) and make sure I am wearing a fitted/tailored outfit, have a CUTE bag, and CUTE sunglasses to distract from the shoes. Lol!

I’ve been replacing my entire collection with these babies since I found a local supplier 3yrs ago. 100% compliments & 100% comfy.
I get Operettas, Minis & Friendships, they have non-slip soles and low heels; perfect for chasing my little guy (1yr).
