When it comes to summer fashion, I am not a big fan of shorts.  Of course, the main reason for this is not necessarily that shorts are un-fashionable, but rather that the parts of my upper thigh that they expose are less than pleasing to the eye.  That’s why my favorite thing to wear on my legs in the summer is the Bermuda short.

I love the Bermuda for it’s near-knee length and also for it’s implied dressiness.  The short pictured above, from Shade Clothing, can easily go from day to night because of it’s dark color and side button detail.

I also love this Cara Bermuda short from Lee.  See that band at the waist?  Very slimming!  This can also be dressed up for a casual dinner out or dressed down to chase after kids during the day!

Lastly, I love these Nicole Bermudas from Lee also.  They are a little more casual, but I love the detail, and the dark denim goes great with everything. Once again the top banding at the waist is very slimming and cute!

With a few great pairs of Bermudas like these in your summer short wardrobe, you’re sure to be set to stay cool and look great this summer!
