I am a girl who is generally very unhappy with my hair. Before I had kids, it was very thick, very fine, and very straight. A little on the oily side, but easy enough to deal with. After I had my first child, my hair got very dry – a big chunk of it actually broke off the front of my hair when I was in the hospital! Then after my second child, my straight, dry hair, became WAVY, dry hair. With a side of frizz. I feel like I am walking around with someone else’s hair on my head, and I usually don’t like it. I’ve experimented with a TON of different shampoos and styling products since my hair had its mid-life crisis, and I am happy to say my hair has finally met its match with Get Glow!
Dalia Wallach, the founder of Get Glow, asked me if I’d be willing to review her products and I was eager to do so. But I could not really imagine how great the products would actually be! After the first use, I sent this email to Dalia.
“I got the products in the mail yesterday and tried them this morning. Let me just say that after one use I was super-impressed! I was so surprised to be so pleased with the results after just using them once!”
In my experience, when I use a new shampoo or conditioner, it usually takes a few days for the product to really “kick in” and for me to notice a difference. Not so with Get Glow. The effects were immediate and wonderful! Here’s a rundown on the products I used.
Moisturizing shampoo: This stuff is perfect for dry hair like mine. It’s got refreshing peppermint oil in it that smells great (and helps wake me up!), silica to add shine, and vitamins B5 and E, and lots of other good stuff and it WORKS! I could not believe how much smoother and softer my dry, crackly hair was after I used it.
Intense Hair Repair Nourishing Treatment: The first thing I have to say about this conditioner is that it SMELLS AMAZING! I wish it had a companion eau de toilette or body lotion so I could smell like it ALL THE TIME! But of course, most importantly, it also works great. I need deep condition due to the aforementioned desert-like conditions on my head, and this stuff really delivers. Usually after I shampoo and condtion, I apply not one but TWO anti-frizz serums to my hair. The first time I used this conditioner, I decided to really test its effect by not applying my usual anti-frizz products. Guess what? My hair was much more under control without them because of this great conditioner!
Light Reflector Frizz Eraser: Get Glow’s website calls this “miracle in a bottle” and they are pretty much right. For those frizzies I did have left after conditioning, I just applied a little of this light spray and it zapped ‘em. I love that it adds shine without adding greasiness to my hair. It works much better than anything else I’ve ever used, and it also smells goooooood.
One last thing before I stop gushing about Get Glow – the products are really concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Spend $16 on a bottle of Get Glow, and I bet you it will last four times as long as the $5 bottle of shampoo you got at the drugstore. So go getcha some and get your glow on!
