When asked to “tell a little about yourself.” We first say wife or mom. Being a wife or mom is always our first priority. We as women put our needs on the back burner. We’re so busy as caregivers that we forget to care for ourselves. We sometimes feel we’re not sexy anymore, even though we’re reminded by every magazine, TV show, and commercial, that we should be. Well I say we’re all sexy!
Media has influenced women’s perspective of sexy over the years, but what’s the true definition of sexy? Sexy is not a certain look, it’s a state of mind. It’s not how much cleavage you show, but how you carry yourself, your attitude! Need to get your sexy back? Follow these tips:
- Going to the grocery store? Put on a pair of heels or sexy boots with your jeans and do your hair and makeup (for daytime). Watch the looks you get because, let’s face it, women check each other out. They’ll think “Wow, she’s rockin’ it.”
- Staying in the house? Dab that special perfume on for no reason. When your man comes home, he’ll be tempted by your sweet scent throughout the house.
- Need to clean? Grab your favorite CD and dance while cleaning. Don’t be afraid to swivel your hips in the same motion as washing dishes.
- Only have time for a shower? Turn your shower into a three minute at-home spa by using a sugar scrub. You will feel smooth, silky, and sexy, as if you just left the spa.
Always walk with good posture, practice having a positive, strong, and confident attitude. Walk like you are on the runway, you are the star of your life, show it. People will then see you that way. To quote Helen Reddy “I am woman!”

Oh great shoes! Really great!
You have inspired me to get my sexy back. Its been a few long cold months, but a little perfume never hurt anyone.
Love those red, sexy shoes. Every week or so, I take time for a nice bath, light a candle, use some bath salts, some music, etc. … It’s maybe only 30 minutes, but that 30 minutes of indulgence keeps my sanity in an otherwise, crazy life. Attitude definitely counts. Thanks for the tips, Rachel.
I never really know how much attention from guys affects one’s feeling of sexy, but I can say for sure that the tip about sexy in the grocery store is going to turn male heads.
Rachel, Great post! You are very inspiring. I Love the Shoes you picked and encourage you to “Be the change to the world that you wish to see”. Well Done! Dave

Hi,
What a wonderful place to gather to learn!
I love the above article, Get Your Sexy Back! I agree, sexy is attitude. We all have it inside, just have to find it.
I have found when I take the time for a special date w/ my husband, (putting time aside,) he is so grateful for that & it makes all the difference in the world in our relationship. I also learned our men don’t see us as we see us. They don’t look at cellulite, weight, imperfections as we do. Our partners are just happy when we make a special time for just them.
