Envious of friends or co-workers jetting off to the beach this summer? Reminiscing about how great your hair looks on vacation? Try this easy recipe to bring the beach beauty to you!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A plastic spray bottle –pick one up at Target, WalMart, or even the Dollar Store.
- Sea Salt–not table salt! You can find this in your grocery store (its also delicious on food!). Kosher salt will also work in a pinch.
- Coconut Oil–Olive oil or a little bit of conditioner will also work (but coconut oil smells yummy!)
- Water–straight from the faucet.
Fill up the plastic spray bottle with water, leaving about an inch of space at the top. Add a teaspoon of sea salt and a dash of oil/conditioner to the water. Shake until all the ingredients are mixed.
Spray mixture over wet hair. If you hair is naturally wavy or curly, scrunching your hair will help define the waves. If your hair is straight, simply twist small sections around your finger for loose waves.
Variations: If this recipe doesn’t provide enough “hold” for your hair, add a little dab of gel to the mixture. If you’d like a different scent, skip the coconut oil and use scented conditioner instead. If you want your hair a little “crunchier”, add more salt to the mixture.
Have fun with the recipe and customize it to fit your style! Create a great version of this recipe? Add it to the comments below!
