Margarita Salt Scrub: Let the Ahhh’s Begin
Salt scrubs are a great way to soften and moisturize skin, but are often pricey to buy in stores. With just a few ingredients hiding in your kitchen (and liquor cabinet!), you can make a great smelling salt scrub in just a few minutes. Be sure to make yourself a drink a slushy, frozen drink to go with it!
Margarita Salt Scrub Recipe
- 1 cup fine sea salt
- 2 ounces olive oil
- 3/4 ounce white tequila
- Juice of one lime
Mix all the ingredients in a medium size bowl until all the salt has been thoroughly moistened. This recipe yields a little more than one cup of scrub. Store the scrub in a plastic or glass container with a seal-able lid.
To use, just slather the scrub onto skin in a circular motion. When done, rinse off the excess oil and your skin will be soft and moisturized.
The salt scrub can be used in the shower–it’s great for making summer legs look smooth and hydrated. Leave a container by the sink and use when you wash your hands.
This scrub also makes an excellent gift. It can be packaged in a large glass jar for a fun homemade gift or into smaller jars to use as shower favor.
