Nail Polish is as much about fashion as it is about beauty. Nail polish compliments your outfit, reflects your personal style, and pulls a look together. This spring’s hottest nail polish colors range from subtle and refined to bold and in-your-face and give us a sneak peek at what is going to be hot in the fashion world this summer.
Here are some of my favorite nail polish colors (at a variety of price points) for spring.
Top Coat
Okay – not a color, but you have to include a good top coat when you’re talking about nail polish. Not only does a good top coat help your manicure last longer, it also makes your nails longer and stronger. Nail Tek Intensive Therapy has taken my nails from weak and peeling to strong and flexible in the matter of weeks. It’s a great product that I use before and after applying nail polish. Even if I’m not wearing a color, I always wear a coat of Nail Tek.
Nail Tek Intensive Therapy – $10.95
Nude Nail Polish
If it’s possible to be edgy and conservative at the same time, nude nail polish pulls it off. There’s nothing shocking about these colors, but they are unexpected, making them très chic.
Bonus points for concealing nicks and chips and matching everything!
MAC Abalone Shell Nail Polish $12
OPI You Don’t Know Jacques Nail Polish – $8
Shimmering Nail Polish
A little shimmer ads lots of glitz and glamor. This spring, add that glamor to your wardrobe with nail polish in silvertones and iridescence.
Deborah Lippmann Stardust Nail Polish – $16
OPI Design Series Coronation Nail Polish – $8.95
Blue & Green Nail Polish
I’m especially excited about blue and green nail polish this spring. It makes me think of cool tropical waters and mermaids. Although these colors might not be work appropriate, they are fun for the weekends and vacation!
It’s also worth noting that Pantone chose Turquoise as the 2010 Color of The Year so I think we are going to be seeing these colors popping up everywhere!
NARS Limited Edition Blue Lagoon Nail Polish – $16
Nicole Respect The World Nail Polish – $7.99
OPI Breathe Life Nail Polish – $6.80
Bright Nail Polish
Nail polish colors usually go lighter and brighter in the spring and summer, but these neon shades of pink and orange take classic bright to a whole new level. Perfect for a spring pedicure!
OPI Cajun Shrimp Nail Polish – $8.50
Essie Pink Parka Nail Polish – $8.00
Sally Hanson Snappy Sorbet – $4.95

The pale pink nudes are my fave. Zoya’s Madison is my go-to polish for manicures and lately since it’s sprintime it’s been the perfect pedicure color since bright, sunny colors are a little to early to bring out.
I just got rid of a whole bunch of rarely used nude polishes-go figure! lol. I am down to just a couple brands that are all free of dibutyl-phthalate, tolulene and formaldehyde. OPI has changed and they call it the 3-free (for 3 ingredients) and Zoya is another wondeful option.
I have another brand I really like called SpaRitual that I purchased online, so many great colors!
my FAVORITE shade of polish in in your list-Cajun Shrimp by OPI, I first got it at a salon visit and then fell in LOVE. I bought a bottle last summer and that has become my regular summer color.
Great color line up, thanks for the post!
The Classy Woman – I’m going to have to check out Zoya and SpaRitual! Glad you liked the post!
