While preparing for my New Year’s Eve get-together the other night, I opened a two-liter of red soda that exploded all over me and my new sweater! I raced to throw it in the washing machine and fortunately with some soaking, it came out, but then I got to thinking – what if I hadn’t been home? What if I hadn’t been able to throw it in the washer right away? I decided to see if I could find a sure-fire stain removal remedy online.
And voila! Glamour Magazine online had one I thought sounded super-simple. Check it out here. (It involves Dawn dishwashing liquid and hydrogen peroxide – two things I currently have in my house!)
While I was browsing their fashion section, I also found that they’ve posted a solution to get that used-clothes smell out of your vintage clothes! I’m wondering if it works for other odors, too! (It involves vodka and water – don’t have the vodka, but to spruce up a sweet vintage find, I’d get some!) You can check that solution out here.
Hope these tips help save some of your favorite fashions!
