When my editor at Blissfully Domestic sent me an email asking if I was interested in reviewing a new make-up line, I said “yes” without even looking to see what the product was. You see, I am a raging product junkie. There isn’t a brand I haven’t tried. There isn’t a website I haven’t visited. I want to try it all, and if there is something new, then I want to know about it.

Later on, I went to the site for Lime Crime, and I have to say- I was a little worried. The colors were very bright, which is something I can appreciate on others, but not a look I typically wear myself. But still, I decided to keep my mind open and like Tim Gunn, Make It Work.

When it arrived, I greedily opened my package which contained Magic Eye Dust in Fairy Wings, Empress, and Duchess. It also contained Marie Antoinette blush and a set of brushes. If you check out the site, you can see how bright the color samples are. I was impressed at what an accurate representation of the product is shown on the site. The colors really are true to the sample. That being said, I was still not sure if this was my look. My husband and I had dinner plans for the evening, so I decided to try out the product, specifically the Empress shadow. I had a shirt with deep purple accents in mind that I was planning to wear.

So, I put on my foundation and powder:

Yeah, see. Totally not kidding about getting ready. Also, am brave. And pale. And got to work.
