A couple of weeks ago I showed you one of my favorite summer makeup looks. Here’s part two in that series, and it ends with a giveaway!
This week’s look is all about a fresh, natural face that’s great for daytime. Here’s the overall look:
After I applied concealer and mineral powder foundation, I used a warm-toned Mary Kay blush called “Golden Copper” on my cheeks. I’m really fair, so to warm my skin up even more, I applied a little Mary Kay bronzing powder in “Desert Sun” right above my blush, and on my nose and forehead (making a “T”). This has a light shimmer to it so it gives a great warm, natural glow.
Using my favorite lipstick-application method, I filled my lips in completely using chocolate lip liner, and covered that with one of my favorites, Amber Glow lipstick. I used a dab of Mary Kay’s limited edition Hawaiian Sunset lipgloss in the center of each look to add some sparkle.
To keep this look really fresh and casual, I used light-colored eye makeup.
On my lids and browbone, I used the light, shimmery Crystalline. In my crease I used a pretty, pale sparkly green called “Lemongrass”. I lined my upper and lower lashes with a light eyeliner, the limited-edition “Tahitian Gold”. To finish off my eye-makeup, I used Mary Kay Ultimate mascara in Black-Brown. I used to only use waterproof mascara, but I’ve recently started using Ultimate and I LOVE it! It really is quite water-resistant and it makes my lashes a mile long. If I’m going to a wedding or somewhere else I might get teary-eyed, I swipe a coat of waterproof over my Ultimate, but otherwise I wear it by itself and it lasts all day and stays put.

It’s not makeup, but I love olive oil. It’s great for cleansing, moisturizing, removing makeup AND pasta. Though I keep my cooking oil and my beauty oil is separate bottles, lol.

My mascara. I can’t live without my mascara. My eyelashes are so blond that mascara is an absolute necessity!
I can’t do without a combination of Maybelline’s dream matte mousse foundation and L’Oreal’s true match mineral powder. I look like a different person once it’s on!

The one piece of make up i can’t live with out is my dark brown eye liner. I kinda think my eyes are a little on the squinty side so I always put eye liner on the top lid to make my eyes look bigger. I very rarely go with out the eye liner. thank you for the chance!

Maybelline Very Black Mascara. I like the no frills variety. If it has any waterproofing or curling agents in it my eyelashes start falling out.

I absolutely can’t live without Avon’s moisture effective eye make-up remover. It removes any & all eye make-up and it doesn’t leave that funky film over your eyes like many eye make-up removers can! Oh…and I love me some colorstay eyeliners (Revlon – taupe was the best color but I’ve had to switch to cocoa.)
