I have a beauty predicament: I am both vain and lazy.   I want to look pretty, oh so pretty, but I want getting that way to be easy and fast!  Here are some of my favorite fast beauty tricks.

Two-tone eyeshadow: I wrote full instructions on this here.  It is my single most effective easy beauty trick!  The short version is:  put a light shade on the eyelid and the browbone and slap a darker shade in the middle, then blend! In this picture (also known as my Twitter avatar) I’m wearing Crystalline and Chocolate Kiss mineral eye colors from Mary Kay.

Instant cheekbones: To add definition to your face, just sweep a little bronzer underneath your cheekbones.  It adds another dimension to your face and really enhances your look.

Waterproof your eyes: I wear contacts, and I am a cry-baby, so I like to wear waterproof mascara.  BUT, I don’t like how hard it is to remove, even with eye-makeup remover.  Since my lashes aren’t very long, I require a couple of coats of mascara and the waterproof can get stuck there for days.

My solution?  I use one coat of regular mascara and then layer a coat of waterproof on top of it. It comes off easily every night, which saves me a lot of time (lazy likey!)  and stays on even if I get a little misty.  Or a lot misty.
