I’ve never been able to tan. I’m one of those pasty white girls of North European heritage that burns, freckles, and still remains pasty white once the blisters heal. I’ve tried a lot of sunless tanners and have finally found one I like.
Olay’s Touch of Sun is the best of all the sunless tanning products I have tried, and, without naming names, some have been just plain bad! Olay’s product leaves a soft, natural looking tan over the course of about a week when you apply it diligently everyday. Touch of Sun is also a lotion and helps to keep skin soft and hydrated during a season when you spend a lot of time in the sun.
One of the major things I look for in a sunless tanner is whether I will be orange in the morning. Touch of Sun does a great job of not turning you orange as long as you make sure to rub it in completely and evenly. If you are a bit sloppy in the application, you might see some orange streaks. Also, be sure to wash your hands after you apply the lotion. Failure to do so will leave your hands a bit on the orange side, but a little soap and water to wash off any excess will go along way to leave your hands their normal color.
Another aspect I love about Touch of Sun is the shades it comes in. There is a lotion for light, medium, and dark skin tones. Basically, there is something for everyone.
No girl likes to have blindingly bright skin for the summer. If you, like me, don’t tan or simply don’t want to take on the risk of natural tanning, I highly recommend Olay Touch of Sun.

Ooo that is very interesting! I’ll have to try some. It’s always hard to find a GOOD sunless tanner that doesn’t turn orange… Thanks for the info!
I’m a sucker for self tanner! Once I made the decision at 25 to protect my skin, I became a self tanner junky! I’m about to to Jergens Foaming self tanner. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try this one next!
I love Olay products! I just did a post about their body wash that I love. I’d definitely be interested in giving this a try! Thanks for the review!

Does it have an “odor”. When the first sunless products came out they had that funny odor – do you remember or know what I’m talking about? I’ve been wanting to go back but don’t want that odor. I am beyond pale – I is WHite. And recenlty diagnosed with some strange circle patches as pre-cancerous! sheesh! But, I look SO bad in shorts with my WHite legs. A good sunless tanner would be a great fashion saver. Thanks for posting.
Cheryl, I haven’t noticed a very strong odor. It smells a lot better than the cocoa butter lotion I used while I was pregnant. I feel the same way about being so white. In fact, this is the first year I’ve actually worn shorts in a LONG time. Hope this helps!!
Thanks for the review! I may have to pick some of this stuff up next time I’m “out-and-about.”
To date, my favorite self-tanner is from Lavera: http://www.lavera.com/products/Sunless_Tanning_Self_Tanner_Lotion_5_oz-89-1000015.html. It’s fabulous! Have you tried it?
