Pumpkins Are Not Just for Carving – Beauty Remedies for the Skin
It’s the middle of October and undoubtedly that means two things: Fall is here to stay and Halloween or Fall Harvest season is on its way. Scare crows, dried-out corn stalks, lavish or silly costumes and of course the abundance of pumpkins. Used traditionally to decorate porch stairs or adorn windows as jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins are known for their vibrant colors and textures. Pumpkins are low in calories and fat (a double bonus) are known for their rich beta-carotene nutrients which have been known to reverse skin damage caused by the sun and reduce the signs of aging. Pumpkins also contain fiber, folate, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and protein–all of which provide the body with healthy nutrients it needs.
