As I’ve browsed through fashion magazines and stores lately, it has become clear that my wardrobe missing one very key summer piece: a SKIRT (or four)! Skirts are hot this summer and I don’t have any! Therefore, I have been struck with very serious “skirt envy.” Here are some fashionable styles that are on my summer wish list and would make a great addition to YOUR wardrobe too!

This bright, comfortable linen skirt from the Gap is the perfect for any summer day. Pair with a tank top and some flip-flops and you are summer chic! The drawstring waist ensures comfort after you go out for that perfect summer ice cream sundae, too.

Oh, hello, perfect length denim pencil skirt from Banana Republic, how are you? What’s that? You want to come home with me and live with me forever? Yaaaaay! Let’s go!
Oh, *ahem* it appears I lost myself for a moment. The other night a few of us stylin’ bloggers went shopping together and Carrie bought this very skirt. It IS perfect! Dress it up, dress it down, wear it to church, out to dinner, or to a picnic. It’s a wardrobe ESSENTIAL!

For a hot summer date on a hot summer night, this tiered skirt by Mossimo Black from Target is just the thing. I LOVE the assymetrical ruffles! They put a new and very stylish spin on the old tiered or ruffled style. I may have to dash off to Target and grab this one as it is also very affordable.

Lastly, no summer skirt collection would be complete without a great patterned skirt. I love this rainbow-colored confection by Liz Claiborne. I have a perfect colored tee in just about every shade to match that baby! This is a fun, classy piece with a vintage feel that will really turn heads.
So, skirts are what I am wanting this summer! What kind of skirts are YOU wearing these days?

I don’t know what it is about spring/ summer but I have been loving skirts lately! And yeah, I don’t have a lot. One from Talbot’s and another from Wal-Mart (that is several seasons old). Maybe I’m trying to remember I am a girl in this house of boys or something. I am wanting to try my hand at sewing some myself, but I haven’t the room to get that crafty right now. Guess I have to go shopping?
Skirts are perfect for the summer, so much more sophisticated and feminine then shorts. You picked out some really nice styles and we are so happy you avoided the mini’s. Can’t wait for that trend to run it’s course.
I love skirts in the summer. I would love them in the winter as well if I didn’t live in Ohio aka the frozen tundra (at least it is up here) One thing to remember when shopping for a skirt-they are not all created equal. Remember just like pants/jeans you need to find skirts that work for your body type. I just got rid of bags of skirts that I thought were uber adorable only to realize just how bad they looked on me when I don’t have that dressing room high going on (that’s what I call when you buy stuff that you never end up wearing-just the thrill of getting new stuff!)
I wish I still looked good in skirts I’ve seen some really cute ones’ out.
I LOVE that denim pencil skirt from Banana Republic. I’ve actually been looking for a skirt like that. I’ll have to hop over to the BR site and take a look at it…
I totally have that denim pencil skirt, and I LIVE in it. It is so fab and I love it so much!
