Is it just me or is there something about a skincare line that is made in France? Everything French just seems fancier and more luxurious doesn’t it? Sothys has been around for more than 60 years, but is relatively new to the US market. They believe very strongly in research which has allowed them to stay on the cutting edge of skincare and develop top quality products. Their lines range from face care, body care, sun care, prestige care, make-up and men’s skin care.

I recently had the pleasure of sampling products from their body care and skin care lines. Their spicy shower gel is quickly becoming a favorite. I love trying out new shower gels, but usually just go with whatever is on sale at the drug store. Now I see that you get what you pay for. Not only does this leave my skin incredibly soft, but I have truly never smelled anything like it. It has a spicy, musky smell that is almost a touch masculine, but decidedly feminine. I am not a big flowery scent person which is typically my beef with most shower gels. I just love the way this smells and it is a great scent to get you going in the morning.

Their biological skin peeler is for use after you wash your face. Although the name in English sounds a bit scary in French it is Gommage Exfoliant. So although it might sound a bit harsh, it is extremely gentle. So gentle that you can use it everyday. And it makes your face feel so smooth. I don’t know about you, but rarely does my face feel smooth. It leaves my skin as close to feeling like my kid’s skin than it has been in a long time.
In 2005, Sothys opened up it’s US flagship spa in Midtown Manhattan that offers a french spa experience. It is the only place stateside that carries the full range of products. But if you don’t live in NYC, don’t despair, you can also find their products throughout the US at many other spa and beauty locations. Their products are very high quality and luxurious so you won’t be disappointed.
Sothys has generously offered a Blissful Style reader a chance to try their Spicy Shower Gel Desquacrem, an all in one cleanser. To enter, just leave a comment on this post saying how you must love to pamper yourself! One lucky winner will be chosen by random.org on Monday, June 15th. Good luck!

I don’t pamper myself as much as I should, but I love trying new things and this sounds like a great product!
My skin shows thw neglect these days sadly!
I usually pamper myself with simple things like a bath, a massage maybe, or getting my nails done…or sometimes just trying out a new product…
I really love going to bed super early with a good book…it’s so restorative!
I would love to have something to pamper myself with! I feel bad spending any money on me, but if someone were to give me somerthing, that would be such a treat!
I love skin care/body products! my skin is so dry and always in need of pampering.
I would love to try this and pamper myself. As the mom to 3 boys, I don’t often get that chance.
Now I’m a mother, any time away from the family has to be considered pampering! lol
With kids, pampering doesn’t happen nearly as often as it should. But, when it does happen a good pedicure is always an awesome pick me up! It would be awesome to have a little pampering every morning with this shower gel.
Throw my feet up in a reclining chair and put a warm or cold eyemask over my eyes!
Thanks

I love to put on an old movie such as Sabrina and give myself a facial with a purifing mask while I watch the movie. It is so much fun to think that it would be so blissful wearing a french gown, perfectly groomed, dancing at a ball.
i love to pamper myself as a reward for doing other things. after i go on a great run or have a great workout, or just overwork myself at my day job and need some time to myself, i take a nice long bath and just breathe and re-boot. it’s important to make time for yourself and take care of yourself!
I pamper myself by locking myself into the bathroom, drawing a hot bubble bath, and reading for at least an hour…. bliss!!! It’s great after a hard day
I pamper myself by taking a nice hot shower at the end of the day to relax.
I so love to pamper myself, but I don’t always have the time or money to do so. Right now my pampering is using Aveeno lotion after a hot shower. Next on my list is getting that egg thing for my feet.
I love shower gel for showers so much better than soap. Pick me!
I like to get my husband to rub my feet with lotion and read a great book with a cup of tea.
pampering is a must
whether it’s a luxurious treat at a spa or at home treatments. a perfect day to myself is having a nice long soothing bath, doing my mani and pedi, face treatments, and good ole take out dinner with some fab movies lol.
Kicking back and relaxing with a good book and a cold coffee drink is my way of pampering myself.
I love to pamper myself by relaxing and painting my nails!
My absolute favorite way to pamper myself is by getting a professional massage. But I think it’s been a year or more since I’ve done something so fabulous.

I love a good pedicure. Unfortuneately, it doesn’t happen often enough!
I love pampering myself with yummy scented bath and body products
A manicure and pedicure with the girls, at least every so often
I try to get a pedicure once a month, which is also the only time I treat myself to my beloved nonfat raspberry mocha from Starbucks.
I make my own spa-style bath salts and soaks. I’ve gotten a little fancier than just sea salts and essential oils now, though–I use kelp powder, powdered buttermilk, whatever appeals to me. Yum!
I hear ya Kelly H. I can tell how much a good pedicure works for the beat down women out there. I bought a new Pedicure Massage Chair to help make the pedicure more enjoyable.
Sorry, Kelli Oops!
Whoops I missed this date, but just wanted to say, I love trying new shower gels too! I currently have about 40 shower gels and I switch and use a different one each day! Love it!
