I am very passionate about breastfeeding, but I didn’t know I was or would be until I actually formed a nursing relationship with my child.  I nursed my son for 13 months and my daughter for 23 months and both experiences were great!  I must confess, however, that I was at a loss for how to clothe my new body when I went from pregnant mom to nursing mom. My nursing experiences  could have been even better if I’d looked into some of the resources out there for helping moms to be fashionable and functional while they nurse.   Now that I’ve tapped into my love of fashion, I wanted to help spread the word about some companies who make functional products for the stylish nursing mom. I found so many great resources that I am going to make this a two-part series!  Today’s feature is on a great company: Milk Nursingwear.

Milk Nursingwear makes beautiful, stylish nursing dresses, tops, and sleepwear.  After looking at their site, I was really blown away by the gorgeous options. They make the dress pictured at the top of this post, and several other cute styles great for work, church, or any special occasion.   They sent me the smocked top pictured above to review.  It is FABULOUS!  It has a stretchy, comfortable, CUTE smocked bodice, and the bottom of the shirt is a flowing, forgiving cut (great for post-partum!) but it’s not so big as to be un-stylish. It’s very, very fashionable.  And look how easy it is to nurse your baby in this top! The smocking lifts right up, while the rest of you remains nicely covered.
