Swimsuit shopping is one of those things I simply don’t like. Any other shopping experience and I am there with a smile on my face. But swimsuits? I’d rather not. This year has been particularly daunting. My little guy is still nursing and I have had the hardest time finding something to cover me up, but also make it easy for me to still nurse him when he needs to.
It’s been much harder than I imagined to find a nursing-friendly swimsuit that a) looked attractive and b) was not too easy for my little guy to help himself. I finally came across an online store named Motherwear. While the selection is not large, they only have five styles to choose from, each one is attractive.

My favorite is the Halter Tankini in brown with pink polka dots. I love the coverage it gives, while maintaining a stylish appearance. Plus, the nursing function makes it super easy to nurse my little guy poolside without much fear of being overexposed.

Not-Your-Grandma’s-Swim Dress is also another favorite of mine. I love the retro look and feel. Very chic and classy for the mom who wants her swimsuit stylish and functional.
Swimsuits are one of those things that seem so hard or us girls to find and absolutely love the way it looks on us. Make sure to try it on before you buy it (or there is an online order return policy) and wait for the one that makes you automatically say, “I love it.”

Thank you for this post. As a pregnant, nursing, mother, I am happy to get new ideas. I need new bras desperately. Some with support since breast feeding has killed my boobs! This time I am getting underwire nursing bras.
Just wear a bikini! Those are so easy to nurse in.
Man I so wish I was blogging while I was pregnant. I have found so many great ideas for maternity wear, swimsuit wear, it makes me almost want to get pregnant again (um, no). My little man is almost 1 so I just gotta look good cause I do (hehehe).
