Did you watch this year’s Golden Globes on Sunday?  I will confess – I didn’t!  I usually love watching but our TiVo is currently having a hissy fit and I don’t have the patience to sit through the whole thing.  Because, really, I just want to see what everyone’s wearing!  So thank goodness for photos!  Sadly, I was not too impressed by the overall fashions, but I picked out some of my favorites from the night, and some that I hope to never see again.  My least favorite trend of the night was nude-colored dresses. A LOT of people, including Nicole Kidman, Felicity Huffman, and Drew Barrymore were wearing flesh-toned gowns, and it was NOT doing anything for me!

I always love Jennifer Garner, and I thought she was radiant in this sparkly Versace.

Eeek!  This is one of my least favorites.  Chloe Sevigny, we get it, you’re weird, but that doesn’t mean you have to wear ugly dresses! You can do better than this ruffle-y Valentino (and so can you, Valentino!)  Chloe won a Golden Globe for her role on the show Big Love, and the dude escorting her up to the stage accidentally stepped on her dress and ripped it. I think he did her a favor, she looked much better at the after-parties!

I am not usually a fan of the plunging neckline, but I thought Anna Paquin wore it well – she looked very elegant in this glittering Stella McCartney gown. Now, if you search for other photos of her, you will see that she had on some HORRENDOUS shoes that make me scream “WHY!!!????” – but at least she had on a pretty dress!

Lastly, I have no idea what Sigourney Weaver was thinking when she left the house in this Herve Leroux.  It’s just NOT FLATTERING at all! (Although I do like the color!) I remember last year Sigourney looked so pretty in a navy Donna Karan -  I don’t know why she went with something so odd this year!
