From the time we breathe our first breath we are continuosly changing–we’re growing. And regardless of what we do we are destined to age. Like all living things, aging is apart of the process–SIDE BAR!
If you’re new to the channel, a side bar is another name for TIME OUT! It’s where we “brake” and decide to veer off course, just for the heck of it!
Yes, we ALL age but no one said we couldn’t do it gracefully and beautifully. Just because we maybe in our 30′s, 40′s and 50′s doesn’t mean we have to look like it!! Truth be told, sexiness begins to blossom somewhere after 30!
Here are some tips that’ll help keep your skin looking younger in the age to come:
- Rest easy, sleeping beauty ~ one of the best ways to rejuvenating your skin is sleep. The older we get the more important it becomes for us to get the sleep we need. During sleep, your skin goes through a renewal process. Your cells renew and the body is able to repair the skin.
- Know your skin type ~ for years I used products for oily skin when I should’ve been using products for dry skin. As a result, my skin began secreting more oils. HUGE MISTAKE! Washing your face and letting it sit for 5 -10 minutes (without any products) will alert you to the type of skin you have. Now that I use a creamy foundation, my skin looks more supple and smooth.
- Wash not, touch not ~ like to twirl you hair or fiddle with it throughout the day? Well, don’t touch your face. Unless you’re repeatedly washing your hands, you’re putting the oils, sprays and gels from your hair onto skin–not good! If you’re a hair twirler, make sure to sanitize on the regular.
You only get one face in this world so make sure you take care of it. So, live well but age even better!

We have that in common!! Sleep does a great deal for the body as well as outer beauty. No one should have to see me when I’m sleepless…it’s downright cruel.
