Tips to Take Away the Puff

I recently caught a glimpse of myself as I walked past the mirror in our hallway. I immediately stopped and did a double take! Staring back at me were two eyes that were practically hidden by the puffiness around them! While I know that a good night’s sleep, or lack thereof, is partly to blame, I realized it was time to do my part to make my eyes look just a bit better. I went in to my arsenal of beauty tricks and found something that helped immensely.
- Coolness - try cold tea bags, cucumber pieces, wrapped ice cubes, or cold spoons. The chill helps reduce the inflamation and puffiness and can easily be done with simple items from around the house.
- Water – this doesn’t add to the puffiness, but actually decreases it. Dehydration causes the body to store water for future use. This can lead to puffy eyes. Plus, the benefits of water go way beyond the eyes.
- Minimize salt intake.
- Apply hemorrhoid cream carefully around the eye. This trick can easily help reduce swelling and puffiness.
Try one of these easy and practical tips to help you the next time your eyes need de-puffed! They are low cost and can be done at a moment’s notice!

Great post–although I was hoping you were going to cure full body puffiness, instead of just eyes.
Another trick I’ve heard is to raise the head of your bed and inch or two–it helps the fluid drain.
